Slane Castle is an 18th-century castle on the River Boyne in County Meath, about 45 km north-west of Dublin. Since 1981 its grounds have hosted Ireland's most famous open-air concerts: the land falls away from the castle towards the river in a natural amphitheatre, giving one of the most spectacular settings in live music.
Combining Slane with Glasgow
Slane is roughly 282 km from Glasgow, a short flight or a long train journey. If you are planning two nights on the tour, book the Slane leg early: two days at Slane Castle on the first weekend of September 2027. Dates, ticket advice, shuttle buses and live coverage for both Oasis shows in Ireland.
Getting to the venue: Most fans reach Slane Castle on official shuttle buses from Dublin city centre and nearby towns, booked in advance. Driving is possible with pre-booked parking, but expect long queues on the N2 and N51. There is no train station in Slane.
